Amazon.com is launching a payment system
Développement Web, Fonctionnalités, Revenus pour sites Web No Comments »Amazon.com is launching a new payment system called “Amazon Flexible Payments Service (Amazon FPS)”. You can find more information by visiting the FPS info page.
Now, just before this announcement, I had already 3 possible choices for payment solution for my future ecommerces:
- Beanstream - The Beanstream solution supports both Canadian and US dollars settlement and our payment engine is available in both French and English. If you are new to e-commerce or already have a payment service provider, Beanstream can provide the best valued solution available in the marketplace.
- Paypal - Paypal offers various methods of payments for merchants. Website Payments Standard allow you to receive payment through Paypal interfaces.
- Google Checkout - Google Checkout is a fast and convenient checkout process that allows customers to buy from you quickly and securely, using a single username and password.
And now there is this new FPS:
- Amazon FPS - Amazon FPS enables tens of millions of existing Amazon customers to transact on your application with no friction, simply using the same accounts and payment instruments that they use for purchases on Amazon.com - without having to re-enter information.
Wow, the choice will be hard. I will have to make my choice based on products, targeted customers and the likes.
For now I hesitate between going full with Beanstream, full with Paypal or offering both solutions to allow Paypal account holder to be able to buy from me.
I’ll keep you posted…
